Projects

Finally got to the store today and picked up some picture frames for a few unfinished projects.  Take a glance and enjoy.

1)    This first picture is a hand-sewn piece featuring Ecclesiastes 3:1-8--my favorite bible verse.  I made one for the family bible verse quilt and had to make a second one for myself.  It's such a poetic passage and overflows with mercy, grace, and beauty.

 2)    Now we have a three-piece set featurin "Faith, Hope, and Love."  I found the felt cross/word/flower or fish combination at "Michael's" and this idea popped into my head.  Pretty cute, right?

                  All together now!

Bible Verse Quilt

At present, I am working on a project which I have been painstakingly piecing, patching, and poking around in for several months now.  It is a customized quilt.  I'm not yet certain how big it will be, but nine of the blocks are the favorite bible verses of each member of my family.  I have hand-stitched various patterns for each bible verse.  This was the fun part.  Each design kind of represents the unique characteristics or traits of each person....as I see them, anyway.  I will incorporate several other patterns as well amidst the bible verse blocks.  The title for this quilt is still up in the air.  "A Mother's Pendant" is an idea derived from Proverbs 1:8-9.

Anyway, I hope to get this project finished soon and pictures taken.  I will begin working on charity quilts then.  Stay tuned!
